Hey, I started a company
So, almost entirely by accident, I’ve found myself in a situation where it makes much more sense to just start a company than not.
I know right? 1st world problems.
Basically I got ahead of myself, did some work and they wrote out a check to ArcherCS. GREAT! Except at the time ArcherCS was just something I called my side project, not a full blown company. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve run a full MSP in the past in Birmingham, AL. And currently work for another based out of BHAM. But, anyone who’s familiar with IT knows that people in this industry get restless. Hence the side projects.
It being 2020 and all I figured I’d see how much of this I could get started from my home office…Turns out…Nearly all of it. To be fair, I have years of industry experience and already know what it takes to do the job right. I’ve been providing enterprise solutions to small Biz since 2017 in a MSP capacity and held several high level IT jobs in the past. But this is different.
I’m super excited, got my LLC filing results back this week, signing up for RMM trials since I’ve only used the same RMM for several years. So much work to be done.
Good friend of mine asked me yesterday if I had a professional email or if he just needed to email my personal one. I had actually just built out my O365 for ArcherCS a few hours before. I gave it to him and politely asked him not to check my website yet since I hadn’t touched it since deciding to do this. Jokes on me, he went there, told me it was expired and sent me the website of a company that’s trying get his business.
Not one to sit idly by I’m now on here making this one step closer to real.
I’ll probably laugh at this post much later but I thought it might be nice to show people how it started. Thanks for reading
